Dipa Nusantara Aidit atau dikenal juga dengan D.N. Aidit adalah seorang pemimpin senior Partai Komunis Indonesia. Lahir dengan nama Achmad Aidit di Pulau Belitung, ia akrab dipanggil "Amat" oleh orang-orang yang akrab dengannya. Aidit mendapat pendidikan dalam sistem kolonial Belanda.

He was the youngest of four children and grew up in a family that was deeply involved in the struggle for Indonesian independence from Dutch colonial rule. His father was a prominent figure in the nationalist movement and was often arrested and imprisoned by the Dutch authorities.
