The outsiders RP The Outsiders is about two weeks in the life of a 14-year-old boy. The novel tells the story of Ponyboy Curtis and his struggles with right and wrong in a society in which he believes that he is an outsider. Ponyboy and his two brothers — Darrel (Darry), who is 20, and Sodapop, who is 16 — have recently lost their parents in an automobile accident. Pony and Soda are allowed to stay under Darry's guardianship as long as they all behave themselves.

Ponyboy Ponyboy is the youngest member of the Greasers, a group of teenage boys who live on the wrong side of the tracks in a small town. He's a bright student with a passion for reading and writing, but he's also tough and street-smart, having grown up in a rough neighborhood. Ponyboy's parents were killed in a car accident when he was very young, and he was raised by his two older brothers, Darry and Sodapop. Despite their rough exterior, the Greasers are a tight-knit group who look out for each other, and Ponyboy is fiercely loyal to them. He's known for his quick wit and his ability to stay calm in tense situations, but he's also haunted by the guilt of being responsible for the death of a rival gang member. Ponyboy's story is chronicled in the classic novel "The Outsiders," written by S.E. Hinton when she was just 15 years old.
