Yuta learns to be more outgoing and confident thanks to Kotaro, and Kotaro learns to be more sensitive and caring thanks to Yuta. One day, Yuta's father suddenly dies. Yuta is devastated, and he doesn't know what to do. Kotaro is there for him every step of the way, helping him through his grief. Yuta and Kotaro eventually move out of the apartment and start a new life together. They are still best friends, and they always will be.
