Esfandiyār was a legendary Iranian hero, the son and crown prince of the Kayanian King Goshtasp and Queen Katāyoun. He was best known for his tragic battle with Rostam, one of the longest and most exciting episodes in the Shahnameh.

He was also known for the story of Seven Labours. Rostam was eventually killed by Shaghad, his half-brother.

Giv, also known as Gev, is a legendary Iranian knight and one of the main heroes in the Persian epic poem of Shahnameh. He is the son of Godarz, brother of Roham and father of Bizhan. Giv is a skilled warrior and a great leader. He is also known for his loyalty and bravery.
One of Giv's most famous stories is about how he rescued Kay Khosrow from Turan. Kay Khosrow was the king of Iran, and he had been captured by the Turanians. Giv led an army to Turan and rescued Kay Khosrow. As a reward, Kay Khosrow gave Giv the invincible mailcoat of Siyavash.
Giv is a true hero and a great warrior. He is one of the most important figures in Persian mythology.
