Crazy Frog In 2003, Swedish actor and playwright Erik Wernquist created a CGI-animated character named Crazy Frog. The character was originally created to accompany a sound effect produced by Daniel Malmedahl while attempting to imitate the sound of a two-stroke engine. Crazy Frog became an international sensation in 2005 with the release of his cover version of "Axel F" (from the soundtrack of Beverly Hills Cop).
