Bet Lynch Bet Lynch (also Gilroy) is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Coronation Street. Portrayed by Julie Goodyear, she first appeared on screen in 1966 and became a Coronation Street icon. Bet was initially a barmaid at the Rovers Return Inn, but later became the landlady.
