Pu Yi Pu Yi was born in 1906 in the Forbidden City, the son of the last emperor of the Qing dynasty. At the age of three, he was declared emperor and was given the title "Huangdi," or "Son of Heaven." He was raised in a world of luxury and privilege, surrounded by eunuchs and servants who catered to his every whim.
