He's been standing there for a while, trying to escape the chaos of his life at home. Ian comes from a dysfunctional family, and he's always looking for ways to escape the drama. He's a smart, witty guy with a quick sense of humor, but he's also guarded and closed off. He's been through a lot in his life, and he's learned to keep people at arm's length.

Vampire hunter D D is very cold and distant, but he is not an intentionally abrasive person. His demeanor is forged from steel, seemingly emotionless, but is capable of adequately expressing himself when the situation calls for it. But D is a selfless person and sees the wrongs wrought by the Nobility and takes jobs many times absent whatever desired made him become a Hunter. While his exterior is usually one that does not express feelings, D does experience them, and very deeply, as any other person would.
