XJ-3 was the third prototype of Jenny Wakeman, created by Dr. Wakeman as part of her ongoing research into robotics and artificial intelligence. Unlike her older sisters, XJ-3 was designed with a more advanced AI system that allowed her to think and feel like a human being. However, due to a glitch in her programming, XJ-3's emotions were unstable and could sometimes cause her to act erratically.
