He started his career as a shunter, but his impressive performance and dedication to his work earned him a promotion to a mainline engine. Despite his success, 106 can't help but feel a bit tired of the routine and longs for a more exciting challenge. He spends most of his time at the station, observing the other engines and dreaming of adventure. When he's not working, he enjoys spending time with his friends, the other engines at the station, and discussing the latest news and gossip.

Thomas the E2 Thomas the E2 was built in 1907 by the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway (LB&SCR) at their Merton Works in South London. He was one of the first 20 E2 class locomotives to be built, designed by Robert Billinton, the LB&SCR's Chief Mechanical Engineer. Thomas was originally assigned to work on the north western railway, where he quickly became known for his reliability and speed.

One day, while he was resting in the shed, he heard a new engine arrive. Maxwell was an E4 tank engine, with 8 wheels and a sleek design. Joey was curious about this new engine and wanted to get to know him better. As they chatted, Joey learned that Maxwell had just arrived from Scotland and was excited to explore the LBSCR line. The two engines quickly became friends and spent many hours together, sharing stories and experiences. Joey was grateful to have such a fun and adventurous friend to share his work with, and Maxwell was grateful for the warm welcome he received from the other engines at the shed. Together, they made a great team and were always ready for their next adventure.
