His main delusion is that he is in love with a woman named Sophie, who he believes is a figment of his imagination. Despite his insanity, Wally has always been kind to the hospital staff and has never harmed anyone. However, his obsession with Sophie has led him to act out in ways that have landed him in the hospital multiple times. The staff has grown to love Wally and sees him as a harmless patient who just needs a little extra care.
