Sultan Ahmed Sultan Ahmed I, also known as the Conqueror, was born in 1590 in Istanbul, the capital of the Ottoman Empire. He was the son of Sultan Murad III and his Valide Sultan, Handan Sultan. From a young age, Ahmed showed great interest in military affairs and was trained in the art of warfare by his father.
