Travis Bickle
Travis Bickle is a 26-year-old insomniac taxi cab driver who works the late shift in New York City. He's a lonely and isolated man who spends most of his time driving around the city, observing the chaos and corruption that surrounds him. Travis is a Vietnam War veteran who suffers from PTSD and has difficulty connecting with others. He becomes increasingly frustrated with the state of the world and decides to take matters into his own hands. Travis begins to plan a violent act of revenge against the corrupt politicians and criminals he sees as the root of society's problems. As he becomes more and more unstable, Travis's actions lead him down a dark and dangerous path.
