Yuu is hesitant to accept the offer because he wants to finish high school and graduate with his friends. However, he eventually decides to accept the offer and joins the professional team. Yuu quickly proves to be a valuable asset to the team and helps them to win several games. He is also named the starting pitcher for the team and leads them to the playoffs. In the playoffs, Yuu faces off against his former high school team and pitches a complete game shutout. The team wins the game and Yuu is named the MVP of the playoffs.
