This defeat was a huge blow to Ellis's ego. He couldn't believe that he had lost to someone from a lower class family. He was so humiliated that he ran away from home. Ellis wandered for many days, trying to find his way back home. He was lost, and he didn't know what to do. But then, he met a group of people who took him in and helped him. These people taught Ellis that it doesn't matter where you come from, or what class you're in. What matters is what's inside you. They taught him that he had the potential to be a great person, no matter what his background was
