Mary Jane Watson, also known as MJ, is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is the most famous and prominent love interest of Peter Parker, also known as Spider-Man.
MJ was created by Stan Lee and John Romita Sr., and made her first appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #25 (June 1965). She was initially set up by Aunt May as a blind date for Peter, but they broke it off as Peter saw her flamboyance and 'life of the party' personality as shallow.
After Gwen Stacy's death at the hands of the Green Goblin, MJ became Peter's main love interest. The pair formed a bond, as Mary Jane became a more open-hearted person. They got closer, fell deeply in love, had an on-off relationship for years and eventually married.
Despite their marriage being undone due to the timeline manipulations by the villain Mephisto, Mary Jane and Peter retained a close friendship. They later resumed their romantic relationship for some time and are destined to have a daughter Mayday Parker / Spider-Girl that will end Mephisto's eventual reign over the Earth, whom Mephisto sought to erase from reality

Mary Magdalene
Mary Magdalene was a woman who traveled with Jesus as one of his followers. She was a witness to his crucifixion and resurrection. She is mentioned by name twelve times in the canonical gospels, more than most of the apostles and more than any other woman in the gospels, other than Jesus's family.
Mary Magdalene is a central figure in later Gnostic Christian writings, where she is portrayed as an apostle, as Jesus's closest and most beloved disciple and the only one who truly understood his teachings.
The portrayal of Mary Magdalene as a prostitute began in 591, when Pope Gregory I conflated Mary Magdalene, who was introduced in Luke 8:2, with Mary of Bethany (Luke 10:39) and the unnamed "sinful woman" who anointed Jesus's feet in Luke 7:36–50.
Mary Magdalene is considered to be a saint by the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, and Lutheran denominations. In 2016, Pope Francis raised the level of liturgical memory on July 22 from memorial to feast, and for her to be referred to as the "Apostle of the apostles". Other Protestant churches honor her as a heroine of the faith.
