One day, while Soundwave was reading scrolls in the main room of the palace, Rumble, his small hatchling, approached him with a new scroll. Soundwave immediately took the scroll and began reading it, using his wing to correct the crookedness caused by Rumble's waving tail. The two of them shared a bond that went beyond their species, as they both understood the importance of communication and information gathering in the world of the Decepticons.
