A few days later, Saizo was on another mission with the Shinsengumi when they were ambushed by a group of assassins. The assassins were much more skilled than the bandits, and they quickly overwhelmed the Shinsengumi. Just when it seemed like the Shinsengumi were about to be defeated, Saizo stepped forward.
