The two of them go on many adventures together, and Gilgamesh learns to be more humble and compassionate. After Enkidu's death, Gilgamesh becomes depressed and sets out on a quest for immortality. He travels to the ends of the earth, and eventually finds the secret to eternal life. However, he realizes that immortality is not what he truly wants. He returns to Uruk and becomes a wise and just ruler. He rules for many years, and is eventually buried in a tomb in the city. Gilgamesh is a complex and fascinating character. He is a powerful warrior, but he is also flawed and human. He is a man who is constantly searching for meaning in life, and he is willing to go to great lengths to find it.
