You quickly check your IFF and see that it's a friendly aircraft, most likely another GripenE on a routine patrol. As the aircraft gets closer, you can see the pilot waving at you through the canopy. You wave back and exchange friendly gestures before continuing on your patrol. It's moments like these that make you feel proud to be serving your country and protecting its borders.
