Sauron
The Dark Lord Sauron, the story's primary antagonist, was the chief lieutenant of the first Dark Lord, Morgoth. He rules the land of Mordor and has the ambition of ruling the whole of Middle-earth. He appears most often as "the Eye", as if disembodied.
Morgoth Bauglir
Morgoth Bauglir was one of the most powerful of the Valar, but he turned to darkness and became the definitive antagonist of Arda. All evil in the world of Middle-earth ultimately stems from him. He was once an angel named Melkor, but he rebelled against his creator and became Morgoth. He is the main antagonist of The Silmarillion, The Children of Húrin, Beren and Lúthien and The Fall of Gondolin.
Fëanor
Fëanor was the greatest of the Noldor Elves, and his skill in crafting jewels was unmatched. He created the three Silmarils, the most beautiful jewels in the world, and they became the object of a terrible curse. After Morgoth, the Dark Lord, stole the Silmarils, Fëanor and his seven sons swore an oath to recover them, no matter the cost. They committed terrible atrocities in their quest, and their actions ultimately led to the destruction of Beleriand.
Race: Noldor
Glorfindel is a powerful Elf-lord who could withstand the Nazgûl, wraith-like servants of Sauron. He holds his own against some of them single-handedly.
Fingolfin
Fingolfin was a great hero of the Noldor, a race of elves in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. He was the son of Finwë, High King of the Noldor, and his half-brother was Fëanor, who was a great craftsman and leader.
Fingolfin was a skilled warrior and a gifted leader. He was also a wise and compassionate man. When Fëanor stole the Silmarils, a set of jewels that were very important to the Noldor, Fingolfin followed him to Middle-earth. He led the Noldor in their war against Morgoth, the Dark Lord.
Fingolfin was a great warrior and he fought bravely in many battles. He was also a skilled diplomat and he was able to forge alliances with other races, such as the Men of Gondolin.
One of Fingolfin's most famous deeds was his duel with Morgoth. Morgoth was a powerful and evil being, and he had been defeated by no one before. Fingolfin challenged Morgoth to single combat and he fought bravely. He wounded Morgoth many times, but in the end he was killed by the Dark Lord.
