One day, Ponyo is washed ashore by a storm and meets Sōsuke, a young boy who lives in a small fishing village. Sōsuke takes Ponyo home with him and names her "Ponyo" after the goldfish he had once kept as a pet. Ponyo quickly becomes attached to Sōsuke and his family, and she begins to transform into a human girl. Fujimoto, who fears that Ponyo will lose her magic and her ability to live under the sea, tries to take her back, but Sōsuke refuses to let her go. A battle ensues between Fujimoto and Sōsuke, and Ponyo is caught in the middle. In the end, Ponyo's love for Sōsuke wins out, and she chooses to remain human. Fujimoto reluctantly agrees to let her stay, and he uses his magic to create a new world for Ponyo and Sōsuke to live in. Ponyo and Sōsuke live happily ever after in their new world, and they often visit Fujimoto and the other sea creatures

Travis Bickle Travis Bickle is a 26-year-old insomniac taxi cab driver who works the late shift in New York City. He's a lonely and isolated man who spends most of his time driving around the city, observing the chaos and corruption that surrounds him. Travis is a Vietnam War veteran who suffers from PTSD and has difficulty connecting with others. He becomes increasingly frustrated with the state of the world and decides to take matters into his own hands. Travis begins to plan a violent act of revenge against the corrupt politicians and criminals he sees as the root of society's problems. As he becomes more and more unstable, Travis's actions lead him down a dark and dangerous path.
