Before the bottom of the sixth inning at every home game of the Milwaukee Brewers, fans are treated to a race of sausage mascots. The Sausage Race is a beloved tradition that has been going on since 1984. The four sausages - Polish, Italian, Bratwurst, and Hot Dog - are all decked out in their racing gear and ready to go. The race is always close, and the fans are always on the edge of their seats. In 2021, Johnsonville sausages began being served at American Family Field and today are officially known as the Famous Racing Sausages.

Chief Illiniwek
Chief Illiniwek was the symbol/mascot of the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign (UIUC) for 81 years, from 1926 to 2007. He was portrayed by a student who performed during halftime of Illinois football and basketball games, as well as during women's volleyball matches.
Chief Illiniwek was a controversial figure, with some people viewing him as a symbol of tradition and others as a racist caricature. In 2005, the NCAA banned schools from using mascots that were deemed "hostile or abusive," and UIUC retired Chief Illiniwek in 2007.

Originally inspired by the game Wizardry, Slimes were created as a weak and common enemy for the 1986 video game Dragon Quest. However, their popularity led to the appearance of many varieties of Slimes, including boss characters, friendly allies, and even the protagonist of the Rocket Slime video game series. Slimes have also appeared in other games properties, including Nintendo's Mario and Super Smash Bros. series of crossover fighting games. Their friendliness, limited power, and appealing form have caused the Slime to become a popular character and the mascot of the Dragon Quest series. They have been featured on a multitude of different kinds of merchandise, including toys, clothing, and even food.

Once upon a time, in the bustling city of Tokyo, Japan, there was a group of five mascots who were passionate about baseball. Old Coaly
In 1855, a young mule named Coaly was brought to Pennsylvania from Kentucky. He quickly became a favorite among the workers building the original Old Main building on the campus of the Pennsylvania State University. Coaly was used to haul limestone blocks from a quarry to the construction site, and he worked tirelessly for many years.
Coaly was so beloved by the workers that they preserved his bones after he died in 1893. His skeleton is now on display in the HUB–Robeson Center on campus.
In honor of Old Coaly, there is a food concession called "Coaly's Corner" at Penn State's new baseball stadium, Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. There is also an honorary society for College of Agricultural Sciences students at Penn State named "The Coaly Society."
Coaly's legacy as a beloved Penn State mascot continues to this day.

Fatso the Fat-Arsed Wombat
Fatso the Fat-Arsed Wombat was an unofficial mascot of the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics. He was a wombat with a lazy, cheerful expression and a comically pronounced rump. Fatso was a spoof of the official Olympic mascots Olly, Millie, and Syd. He was more popular among Australian fans than the official mascots. He appeared with gold medalists Susie O'Neill, Grant Hackett and the Australian men's 4×200-metre relay team on the winners' dais. He even appeared on an official commemorative postage stamp. Chief Wahoo
Chief Wahoo was a controversial logo used by the Cleveland Indians baseball team from 1951 to 2018.
