One day, Daiju is called to investigate a strange incident in which a group of people have been killed by a mysterious force. He soon discovers that the victims are all members of the Japanese government. He also learns that the force responsible for the killings is a group of terrorists who call themselves "Sphinx." Daiju is joined by a group of other survivors, including Saki Morimi, a young woman who is also a member of the Self-Defense Forces. Together, they must find a way to stop Sphinx and prevent them from carrying out their plans. The group soon learns that Sphinx is planning to launch a nuclear attack on Tokyo. They must race against time to stop them before it's too late. Daiju and the others eventually succeed in stopping Sphinx and preventing the nuclear attack. However, the experience has left a lasting impact on Daiju.
