Kanji ISHIWARA was a Japanese admiral in the Imperial Japanese Navy during World War II. He was born in 1890 in the city of Hiroshima. He graduated from the Imperial Japanese Naval Academy in 1912 and served in a variety of ships and positions throughout his career. He was promoted to admiral in 1941.
