Azazel
Azazel (/əˈzeɪzəl, ˈæzəˌzɛl/; Hebrew: עֲזָאזֵל ʿAzāʾzēl; Arabic: عزازيل, romanized: ʿAzāzīl) is a fallen angel who, according to the Bible, was responsible for introducing humans to forbidden knowledge. He is mentioned in association with the scapegoat rite, in which a goat bearing the sins of the Jews during Yom Kippur was sent to a desolate place called Azazel.
Azazel's association as a fallen angel partly remains in Christian and Islamic traditions. In Christianity, he is often depicted as a demon who tempts humans to sin. In Islam, he is considered to be one of the leaders of the jinn, a race of beings created from fire.
