Masato KURAMOTO Masato Kuramoto is a high school student who is also an athlete. He is a member of the track and field team and is very passionate about running. He is also a bit of a loner and doesn't really have many friends. One day, Masato is running in the forest when he comes across a strange creature. The creature is a small, white dog with a long tail. Masato is initially scared of the creature, but it soon becomes clear that the creature is friendly. Masato names the creature Kodama and the two of them quickly become friends. Kodama follows Masato everywhere he goes and they spend many hours together running and playing. One day, Masato is running in the forest with Kodama when they come across a group of bullies. The bullies start to pick on Masato, but Kodama comes to his rescue. Kodama barks at the bullies and chases them away. Masato is grateful to Kodama for saving him and he realizes that he has found a true friend. Masato and Kodama continue to be friends and they have many adventures together. They learn to trust each other and they always have each other's backs.
