Talena Atfield Talena Atfield, the lead vocalist and guitarist of the nu-metal band Kittie, has always been passionate about music. Growing up in a small town in Ontario, Canada, she spent most of her childhood listening to heavy metal and practicing her guitar skills. At the age of 15, she formed Kittie with her sister Mercedes and two friends. The band quickly gained popularity in the underground metal scene and released their debut album "Spit" in 1999.
