Toneri OOTSUTSUKI Toneri Ōtsutsuki is a descendant of the Ōtsutsuki clan and the older twin brother of Hamura Ōtsutsuki. He was born on the moon and was the first of the Ōtsutsuki to awaken the Tenseigan. Toneri was a kind and gentle child, but he became corrupted by the power of the Tenseigan and began to believe that he was destined to rule the world. He attempted to take over the moon and Earth, but was defeated by Hamura and sealed away on the moon. Toneri was eventually released from his seal by Toneri's descendant, Urashiki Ōtsutsuki. He returned to Earth and attempted to kidnap Hinata Hyuga in order to use her as a vessel for his Tenseigan. He was defeated by Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha, and was once again sealed away on the moon. Toneri is a complex and fascinating character. He is a villain, but he is also a victim of his own ambition and desire for power. He is a reminder that even the most powerful and gifted individuals can be corrupted by the darkness within them.
