Truth
Truth is an immortal being who exists outside of the universe and is the source of all alchemy. They are often depicted as a shadowy figure with a blank face and no discernible features. Truth is said to be the only being who knows the true nature of alchemy and the cost of using it.
Alchemists who attempt to use forbidden alchemy, such as human transmutation, are brought before Truth and forced to pay a terrible price. The price is often the alchemist's own body or soul.
Despite their fearsome reputation, Truth is not inherently evil. They simply exist outside of the human concept of morality and do not understand why humans would want to use alchemy to change the world. Truth is often seen as a neutral force that simply exists and does not take sides.
