Born in the 16th century, Caledfwlch was a skilled swordsman who fought in many battles during the European wars. One fateful night, he was mortally wounded and left for dead on the battlefield. As he lay there, he was approached by a mysterious figure who offered him a chance at immortality in exchange for his loyalty. Caledfwlch accepted the offer and was transformed into a vampire.
