He digivolved into a powerful Digimon called Diaboromon and attacked the Digital World. Ken and his friends were able to defeat Diaboromon, but Wormmon was killed in the battle. Wormmon's death was a great tragedy, but his spirit lives on. He is remembered as a brave and loyal Digimon who fought for the good of the Digital World.
