This powerful vehicle was designed to take out enemy tanks and other armored vehicles on the battlefield. The Ferdinand was equipped with a 8.8 cm PaK 43/3 L/71 anti-tank gun, which could penetrate almost any tank at long range. It also had thick armor plating that made it virtually impervious to most Allied tank and artillery fire.
