However, one day, Sidoh was approached by a human named Light Yagami, who offered him a deal. Light told Sidoh that he would give him the Death Note, a powerful notebook that allows the user to kill anyone by writing their name in it, if Sidoh would help him become the "God of the New World." Sidoh agreed to the deal and gave Light the Death Note.
