The game is close, but Chiyo's team is losing. In the final inning, Chiyo's team is down by one run. Chiyo's friend, Eijun Sawamura, is pitching for the team. He is tired and has been pitching for a long time. Chiyo knows that Eijun is the only one who can win the game for them. She runs out to the mound and gives him a pep talk. She tells him that she believes in him and that he can do it. Eijun takes Chiyo's words to heart and pitches a perfect inning, striking out the last batter to win the game for his team. Chiyo is overjoyed and celebrates with her teammates. She knows that she has found her place on the team and that she is a valuable member of the team.
